Naomi Waltham-Smith is Associate Professor in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies at the University of Warwick and a 2019-2020 fellow at the Akademie Schloss Solitude. Her second monograph The Sound of Biopolitics: Life, Aurality, Deconstruction is forthcoming in Fordham UP’s Commonalities series. Waltham-Smith is also the author of Music and Belonging Between Revolution and Restoration (Oxford UP 2017). Sitting at the intersection of deconstruction, political philosophy, and sound studies, her work appears in journals including boundary 2, CR: The New Centennial Review, diacritics, Music Theory Spectrum, parrhesia, Philosophy Today, and Postmodern Culture.
